The Winter Kingdom, located off Royal Road on Fredericton's northside, provides an outdoor venue for Winterfesthiver. As an outdoor winter event, Winterfesthiver is dependent on favourable weather conditions. The following link offers quick access to local weather conditions for your convenience.

Approximately 200 volunteers help to make Winterfesthiver a success. Like the volunteer Board and Committee members of Winterfest NB Inc, (the organization that brings you Winterfesthiver), these individuals are dedicated to improving their community and believe in what the festival offers our citizens.

Volunteers supervise our many activities and attractions, direct patrons in the parking lot, help with services at the rest tent, and interact with visitors in countless other ways.

Please volunteer some of your time to ensure Winterfesthiver's success and future!

In case of adverse weather conditions before or during the event, volunteers are needed to clear the slides and mazes of snow and to repair the ice surfaces as required. We are also in need of volunteers to help smooth the slides during the construction/icing phase in the week prior and to help with the set up of the site on the Friday prior to the event. If you could volunteer to be on-call for these special circumstances, please indicate so when you contact us.

Lost Child Services are provided by Winterfest NB Inc at the Winter Kingdom. You are encouraged to orient your child to the Lost Child Services post immediately upon entering the Kingdom and to not leave minors unaccompanied. Experiencing the slides, maze and other activities with your child will build memories for a lifetime.

Bring any found articles to the Lost and Found post at the Winter Kingdom. To report or claim a lost article, visit us there or contact us immediately after the event.

First Aid Services are provided at the Winter Kingdom during the hours of operation. In a medical emergency every courtesy must be extended to EMS personnel.

Personnel are there to ensure your safety and provide security services during Winterfesthiver.
